Sister Freda is a nurse, founder and Director of the Sister Freda Foundation. Born from humble beginnings in Kabras, Kakamega County, she attended Kitale Primary School and later Nasokol Girls High School, West Pokot. Despite financial challenges, she enrolled at the Cecily Macdonald School of Nursing, Nairobi Hospital — then earned a higher national diploma in midwifery at Mater Hospital.

Nzoia College of Nursing was operationalized in 2010 and has grown remarkably — with many students graduating and making a difference across Kenya. Our role as the board is to provide strategic leadership under the Strategic Plan 2023–2027.

As the deputy principal and head of midwifery department i act as the chief assistant to the principal, providing operational leadership, driving academic excellence and ensuring strict adherance to regulatory standards (such as Nursing and midwifery council- Nursing Council of Kenya).
